Friendly Fraud Rampant in Digital Subscriptions

The study examined 50 million transactions carried out over the fourth quarter of 2015, revealing a startling trend in digital subscription sales. According to the study data, a full 24% of all digital subscription sales in the UK during the 2015 holiday season resulted in chargebacks. This rate is more than double that of any other product company.

The article also quoted Global Risk Technologies™™ CIO, Monica Eaton-Cardone, who revealed another staggering figure: 86% of all chargebacks are fraudulent.
